Sheraton on the Park

We arrived at 9 am and told the guy at the desk that we needed 2 beds in our room. We asked twice to make sure. He assured us that there would be 2 beds. Later in the day, when we came back to check in, we were put in a king, and there were not 2 beds in the room.

Sheraton on the Park is a traditional five star hotel with full amenities and excellent service. Our king bed room had everything. It was huge with separate dressing room and bath and shower. The location is opposite St James station (direct line from the airport) and on the free city shuttle bus route so convenient for getting around. Being in the city, the City View rooms actually look onto the building next door so there is not actually a 'view', but as we got a very reasonable rate this was not an issue for us. Other rooms look over Hyde Pk. We spent three days sightseeing around the city, harbour and beaches but the hotel would be perfect for a business stay as well.

I have moved from several hotels in the last 2 weeks around AU for work. My normal stay is around 2 days per hotel on average. This hotel was outstanding. it was a clean as you can ask for and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The location is the best. Across the street from the park and events. St Marys Chuch is also across the street and it a must see for photographers. Pubs are nearby as well as many nice eateries.. You can find high end resturants as well as fast food. A perfect place to stay.

Very nice hotel and a decent value in a city as expensive as Sydney. Staff in all areas were friendly and helpful. The room and bathroom were spacious and comfortable.

Overall very nice hotel and location and high quality rooms and comfort levels. Easy to get to anywhere in the CBD. Also, rooms were very clean and cleaning staff friendly. A bit of noise from next room with loud tv and small amount of road noise due to being on the city view hyde park side, which is next to a main road - so request higher floor levels to avoid this.

Good central location an easy taxi ride from the airport. Spacious well appointed room but a bit short on storage space. Would not accept frequent traveller card when booked through non-hotel travel site. A$9 for a bottle of water.

The "city view" room looked directly into a brick wall. The room was small, badly lit, and had cheap material (tiles in the bathroom, fixtures, and carpeting). The water pressure was also poor. However, the bed was very comfortable, and the location was easily accessible to the monorail and the free bus service (route 555). Overall, it is an acceptable hotel, but more equivalent to a three star property in the States. I have previously stayed in the Shangri-La Sysney, which was far superior for only a few dollars more.

Excellent service .Parking is expensive

Conveniently located to central shopping areas. Best rate "Stay Park & Play" and is great value for money, buffet breakfast is substantial and of high quality, self parking v. easy.

One expects any hotel in the Sheraton Group to provide quality in all aspects of its operation. Sheraton on the Park Hotel Sydney is no exception. It has a great central location; beautiful rooms; great service (no request was any trouble); great ambience and food; however it was the friendly attentive service that stands out. Will stay again and recommend to others.
