Holiday Inn HELSINKI CITY CENTRE

Hotellin sijainti ihan keskustassa on erinomainen, mutta toisaalta pelotti, että huoneeseen kuuluu kovasti melua. Erittäin positiivinen yllätys oli, että huone oli yksi hiljaisimmista missä olen yöpynyt. Olen myös erittäin vaativa tyynyjen suhteen ja tästä hotellista löytyi täydellinen tyyny! Lisäksi hotelli on sopivan kokoinen, tuli kotoisa olo. Voin lämpimästi suositella tätä hotellia.

Hotellin sijainti on loistava, varmasti paras Helsingin keskustassa. Äänieristys on myös hyvä. Hotelli kaipaa kipeästi peruskorjausta, huone oli kulunut ja hieman vanhanaikainen. Osa lampuista oli rikki ja parketti oli tikkuinen. Aamupalalla (sunnuntai) tarjottiin muuten ihan kelpo kattaus, mutta kurkut, tomaatit ja salaatinlehdet oli aivan selvästi edellisen päivän ylijääneitä. Nahistuneita ja kuivia, salaatti ruskeaa. Vesimeloni oli hapantunut tai muuten vain pilaantunut. Sitä peitti kuvottava limakerros.

Hyvä hotelli hyvällä paikalla, mutta harmittamaan jäi jatkuva takku avaimen kanssa. Yövyin kaksi yötä hotellissa ja avaimeni jouduttiin vaihtamaan kolme kertaa. Aamulla oli kiire päivän kokoukseen, joten ylimääräinen takku avaimen kanssa vei tarpeettomasti aikaa. Sama tilanne oli, kun yövyin hotellissa kesäkuussa. Myös se, että aamupala ei kuulunutkaan maksamaani hintaan, jäi harmittamaan. En myöskään saanut kuittia maksamistani aamupaloista. Itse yrittäjänä pidän todella tärkeänä, että jokainen maksettu ostos oikeuttaa asiakkaan saamaan kuitin, halusi hän sitä tai ei!!!

We found the place neat and comfortable, the staff courteous and capable, and the location was perfect. We were somewhere between sightseeing and shopping mode and it was easy walking distance to the train station, waterfront market, the Sunday flea markets, and the shopping streets - the people ferries to Suomenlinna and the beautiful edifaces. Under the same conditions we would certainly make this hotel a first choice.

got unexpected upgrade to executive room which was nice. Only downside was that although there is tea and coffee facilities in room you have either to go to the bar to ask for milk (given in cardboard cup) or the supermarket across the square and put it in mini bar. The railway station and bus station is immediately outside the front door which is great for the Finnair shuttle bus - it is a very busy and at times dirty place but doesn't impinge on the hotel.

Stayed in executive room. Very comfortable. Staff on Reception staff lovely , very friendly and helpful. Excellent English. Room service too limited time available and restaurant expensive. Lots of cafes and good restaurants nearby. Internet free but very slow ! Sauna clean and small . No one there so good to relax . The bus and boat tours a must. Ask the staff. Hotel beside bus station ( bus to airport few steps away and cheap ) and rail station.

Good location, helpful staff, good breakfast, modern rooms, but on a very hot day our room's air conditioner did not do the job, so they gave us a fan. Easy bus route to/from the airport via a Finnair shuttle for 6.3 euros. Business center with internet access.

A nice hotel with great localisation, especially for those who come by train. Just one dissapointment: breakfast wasn't included.

Excellent location. Polite service. Quiet room, none of traffic voices. The room was totally dark with blinding curtains!

Great location if traveling by train and taking a bus to the airport. Otherwise, facilities were adequate, and price quite reasonable for a hotel of this class.
