Great Location. Average room is small and poorly decorated. Decor in general is awful. Has become a beach hang out.
Roof top restaurant is very good. Personnel are all very cooperative and friendly.

We booked and requested a king bed. Our first room was two single beds. When we asked to change they had no rooms available the first night. When our room was changed it still had two single beds but were made up for a double. The hallway to our room on level 4 had a terrible smell that made you sick everytime you walked past.
To use the pool or the beach there was an extra charge and the gym was very average.

Great location. Inexpensive lounge. Staff was extremely helpful, no matter what we asked. Nice tanning deck on the roof. I would recommend it to others. It's only about 6 to 7 blocks from the beach.

Room was decent sized, especially for the money. The staff was very nice and helpful. The room was very quite, even though the hotel was booked, we never heard another guest from our room. We also really liked the location, Nice is very walkable and the hotel was in between most of the things we wanted to walk to.

Our hotel was perfectly situated for us on the Promenade de Etats Unis, an easy walk to the old town, the harbor, rue de France, and Castle Hill. The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel was spotless. It even offered a discount on chaises and umbrellas at the private beach across the street. Coffee and tea supplies were replenished every day. The combination tub and shower was not large,but was sufficient and the bathroom as a whole was clean, functional, and attractive.

This hotel is fantastic. It is located within the same building as the LeMeridien but a lot less cost. Whilst not making a direct comparison between a 3 star and 5 star, the Mercure held its own well and truly.
Our ocean view room was fantastic and the staff were all just wonderful.
The location is right on the Promenade Des Anglais - you can't ask for better.
Would heartily recommend it!

Old city center, flower market, beaches, several museums, Italian border (Vintimille, San Remo) nearby. The suites are air conditioned with kitchenette including hob, microwave, refrigerator and dishwasher. Living room looks out on a terrace or balcony. The spacious breakfast room faces the Mediterranean. Breakfast is 13 EURO per/person 7:00am-10:00am. Pet accommodation: 6 EUR/night per pet. Phone charge: 0.25EUR. EQ and EQ1 room types have a sofabed that sleeps 2 as the only bed in the room. If you are on a short business trip and just need a room this facility might be adequate (but free wi-fi kicks off about every 15 minutes, requiring re-logging in each time and automatic reroutes to wi-fi advertisers page, interrupting and causing you to lose your work). As tourists it is a 12 to 20 euro cab ride to trains, shopping or restaurants. Even a simple restaurant is a 15 minute walk. The "city view" suite looks out over traffic and a bus stop.
Mattress was thin and lumpy. Room was decent size, but cheaply furnished. That said, the kitchenette was clean and appreciated.
The laundry facility is grungy and dryer not working.
The staff was at least somewhat accommodating in an "I just work here" sort of way. I think this hotel is a bit overpriced. There are many hotels in better locations. Recommend staying more towards Vieux Nice.

First of all, it can never be a four star hotel even if the building from outside looks nice. I had many problems:- internet doesn't work well especially in the evenings. - TV has 4-5 channels unless you pay money to get more- no iron machine and they can iron the stuff for you but with a very very expensive price. They can lend you one but it never came, and the guy in the reception told me in the phone:'' We don't have an iron machine to lend'' I said but yesterday another woman told me that you can lend one, then he said'' I will give you one this time but this is the lasttime'' Then they never brought it saying that other people took all of the iron machine they have. - I found a small insect in the bed in the first day- The room is not like the one in the photo at all. It has one window that looks at another small building infront of the hotel. No view at all- They have only two elevators and you will you can sleep before you got one. Awful- No fitness center therePlease let me know why I paid that much money, and let me know why it is ranked as a 4 star hotel. [...]

Very good hotel for the value. One negative comment is related to a girl in the reception area. I can't recall her exact name but it starts with the S. She was rude to me every time I asked her a question. I also noticed that she was rude to other guest in the hotel.

As a single traveler I wanted a safe modern hotel in a prime location. This felt more like what you would get for an American hotel for the money than a similarly priced European hotel. Would definitely stay here again. The bathroom was pretty small but this wasn't a problem for me since I'm small.

Shower is smaller than an assistant's desk area (1.5m x 1.5m no kidding). Not a place to stay long term, but hey, it's very good priced. Maybe choose this hotel and spend most of the day by train to Eze, Monaco, St Paul village etc, come back to shower and sleep only. Staff are friendly.

this hotel was very nice. the room was large, especially by europe standards and nicely appointed. the good thing about its location is that it is a tram ride to the prominade (very nice transportion system) so this gave us more space to roam about and discover, the down side is that is a tram ride away from all the activity.
I would stay here again.

The room was small but clean, the location is great with easy access to shopping, tram and the beach. And best of all, the staff could not be nicer or more helpful. They went out of their way to help when I temporarily lost my bag that had ALL of my ids, credit cards and passport. Loved them would stay again in a heartbeat.

Very dated hotel room with small beds but for some reason the bathroom was large and updated. Maybe it is a work in progress. Cannot beat the location however

朝食がおいしかった。スタッフは、皆、笑顔で親切だった。部屋は居心地がよかった。ただバスルームの浴槽がきれいでなかったのが残念だった。困ったことや聞きたいことがあれば、受付で気軽に聞ける雰囲気があった。

This is a very nice hotel. The room was small but appropriate size for 2 adults. I was interested in the hotel because of the beautiful pool deck, but the pool was closed in the pre-season. I think this would be a perfect hotel for those who wanted the beach 24/7, but we traveled pre-season and staying in Nice would have been better for us.

nice modern hotel -- well appointed and very quiet despite being on the Promenade des Anglais (we had an ocean view -- recommended)/ A bit distant from the downtown scene (1 mile walk) and close to the airport (2+ miles)

Even though planes took off almost across the street, it was absolutely quiet in our room. We felt that breakfast was over priced at 30 euros for two, but there was a large variety of pastries, cereal, fruit and truly awful scrambled eggs and mushrooms. The carpet in our room needed a good cleaning, but the bathroom was very clean. It was also convenient to have free shuttle service to the airport.
Staff couldn't have been more helpful in helping us find the bus stop into Nice, but a reminder that most buses stop running at 9PM would have saved us a long, long walk from the port area. I would stay there again, just eat someplace else.

This was the final hotel on a 3 week travel and it was a great place to spend our final night. Dinner at hotel was great - as we were craving a Chesseburger and fries and they delivered!

Zentral gelegenes Mittelklassenhotel mit der Möglichkeit zur Selbstversorgung dank ordentlich ausgestatteter Küchenzeile, was angesichts der hohen Restaurantkosten in Nizza bei einem längerem Aufenthalt zu schätzen ist. Wir waren bereits zum zweiten Mal in diesem Haus und können es grundsätzlich weiterempfehlen. Mit dem Service der Rezeption waren wir diesmal allerdings sehr unzufrieden, da uns bei unserem Auschecken am 1. Mai kein Hinweis darauf gegeben wurde, dass an diesem Tag keine Busse, Bahnen und Züge fuhren. Das hätte beinahe dazu geführt, dass wir unseren Rückflug verpasst hätten, zumal Taxis an diesem Tag sehr gefragt und deshalb kaum verfügbar waren. Hier hätten wir eine bessere Kundenorientierung erwartet.

You need a car to get around. The staff gave me hell because she kept saying that my payment had not gone through and I spent 2h trying to figure it out when it was their fault to begging with, they had been looking at someone elses's info!!But on the paper it doesn't show that so it looks like it's your account.

Check in slow, not frienddly.
No conditioner, contact w/the front desk twice. They can't fix the conditioner. The third night, complain again. They givin a small fan.
The mat in the bathroom, smell and hair rolled in the mat.
The worse hotel in the world.

Charming hotel located a few steps away from the sea. All our rooms have different settings with most of them have frescos or decorated by contemporary artists. The 19th century building is a privileged place for contemporary art lovers. Property of the Redolfi family for more than 60 years the hotel offers its customers a particular atmosphere with a mix of exoticism and poetry. Amenities include swimming pool; sauna; steam room; gym and massages will allow you to have a relaxing stay. Dinner and breakfast are served in the tropical garden in the summer and in the lounge by the fireplace in the winter. Additional Information; Children 2 and under stay free in the room with parents and in existing bedding. Children over this age will be considered an adult. The guy that checked me in, from the Netherlands, was extremely friendly and helpful. Very big smile, spoke excellent English, and was most welcoming. Hotel room was a decent size, clean, and beds were comfortable for European standards. My only complaints were: No wash cloths (somewhat typical for non-American chain European hotels)and bathroom was a bit small. Free WiFi in the room was great and worked well. My room was on the street, but the windows had excellent sound proofing so did not hear any street noise. A/C worked decently well..rooms weren't cold but held steady in the mid 70s. I could sleep easily, even when the daytime highs were in the mid 80s. Courtyard area is nice and lush, with a pool. For a non-American chain hotel, this was a quite pleasant stay and I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. A long walk from Old Nice, but fairly close to the beach. Close enough to the train station to wheel a small amount of luggage.
The French national staff weren't quite as warm and helpful and English wasn't as strong. Chamber maids were very nice and always said Bonjour when they saw me in the halls.
Breakfast is 12 Euro per person, and has a decent selection of meats, cheeses, breads, cerials, juices, scrambled eggs, and yogurts.

Hotel was easy to find and from day one the staff was very helpful, I might have read the car parking situation wrong but a day ticket costs 24Euro's in a commercial lot that's 500meters from the Hotel.
I definitely would suggest to upgrade to a Seduction level room and skip the 12Euro breakfast as there's a 'Boulanger' down the street.
My first night I stayed in a Creation level room which wasn't remotely as comfortable as the Seduction.
I wouldn't plan to stay there for the pool availability but it was nice for a dive after an afternoon run.
We're glad we experienced the Windsor.

Hotel Gounod was a great location for the price. Located between the train station and the beach, it's a 10 minute walk to either location. We stayed there for two nights, and it was an easy train ride to Monaco to see Le Tour de France.
We didn't make use of the pool located next door. The interior decor needs updating, otherwise I would have given this hotel four stars.

The Hotel Massena was very clean, the rooms were nice, and the hotel was in a great location. The old city was just a few blocks away. The hotel staff was always very friendly, too. I would definitely stay there again!

Booked the Romantic Package for my wife's 50th - the hotel arranged a charming room, champagne on arrival and rose petals around the room. The staff were polite, friendly and helpful (the doorman knows all the best that Nice has to offer). Breakfast facilities were a little cramped but all fresh and plenty of it. We will, without a doubt stay here again.
