Citadines Promenade Nice

Hotellin sijainti todella hyvä liikenneyhteyksiä ajatellen. Huonetta ei siivottu lainkaan koko aikana (4 yötä). Aamupala kallis (9e15snt) ottaen huomioon sen laadun. Lisäksi osalla hotellivirkailijoista palveluhalukkuus kadoksissa. Osa (nuoret) innokkaita ja avuliaita.

This was great value for money, but only because we stayed in a garden-view studio. For the first night we were put into a street-view one and that was really not up to standard. We'd have been depressed for the entire holiday had we had to stay there. The garden view studio was great though - much better quality. Lots of little details improved the usability and, dare I say, comfort of the place (crockery, cutlery, pots and pans, hob, fridge, its own boiler, dishwasher, dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid, shower gel/ shampoo, folding laundry line, plenty of wardrobe/ cupboard space, personal safe, free wireless). The one thing we found really odd was not having a basin in the toilet and having to travel through the kitchen and bedroom in order to wash our hands in the bathroom after using the loo (??!!). The carpet (and floor, generally) was not very clean, but we were happy to at least have a carpet (there was none in the street-view room, which also had an extensible sofa-bed instead of proper beds). Receptionists were really nice, especially Nathalie and Caroline. Third one mocked my accent and laughed with guy standing at reception, which didn't feel very nice at all. Not sure how the booking system works, as there seemed to be quite a few situations where the reception wasn't aware of online bookings or the exact type of room booked. (Our case, but also other people's.) Within 5 minutes of convenience stores and 10 minutes' walking from the beach. Good for public transport and within about 30 minutes' walking of the old town area. Overall, really good value for money (but stay away from the street-view rooms - not only basic and dirty, certainly the one we saw, but also very loud because of the busy traffic).

Although the staff were helpfull, the room that was meant to have twin beds but it actually had an old, dingy and dirty sofa with a pull up bed. Once the covers and cushions were removed off the sofa, you were left with an old and dirty headboard full of holes, simply disgusting. The springs of the "bed" were worn out and it was uncomfortable. The carpet was stained and the room smelled of pets.

This place is great, highly recommended. If you choose to stay it will be good.

トイレとバスルームが別でとっても清潔。バスルームは洗面台もバスタブも新しく快適でした。フロントも２４時間対応。スタッフも大変感じが良い。アイロン台、アイロン、ヘアードライヤーも部屋に常備してありました。駐車場も四駆の大型車だったのですが、授業員用のスペースを滞在中ずっと空けて使わせてくれました。（出し入れも考慮していただき、三台分空けてくださいました。）

Zentral gelegenes Mittelklassenhotel mit der Möglichkeit zur Selbstversorgung dank ordentlich ausgestatteter Küchenzeile, was angesichts der hohen Restaurantkosten in Nizza bei einem längerem Aufenthalt zu schätzen ist. Wir waren bereits zum zweiten Mal in diesem Haus und können es grundsätzlich weiterempfehlen. Mit dem Service der Rezeption waren wir diesmal allerdings sehr unzufrieden, da uns bei unserem Auschecken am 1. Mai kein Hinweis darauf gegeben wurde, dass an diesem Tag keine Busse, Bahnen und Züge fuhren. Das hätte beinahe dazu geführt, dass wir unseren Rückflug verpasst hätten, zumal Taxis an diesem Tag sehr gefragt und deshalb kaum verfügbar waren. Hier hätten wir eine bessere Kundenorientierung erwartet.

The young staff was very helpful, polite, efficient. We wrote a letter to management praising them. We expected twin beds, but spent the first night with a very awkward, difficult to deal with, "slider" bed where one half of the bed had to be pulled out from beneath the other half. Even the young room clerk had difficulty moving it. We complained and had firm, comfortable twin beds for the rest of our stay. The efficiency kitchen and the balcony were very nice. The kithen permitted us to make light dinners at home when we did not want to go out again. The traffic noise off the balcony was distracting, but one ignores it after a while. In any case, the alternative to downtown noise would probably be a location in the boondocks. This is out second stay in a Citadine Apart-Hotel (the first was in Paris), and we will probably choose to stay in one again, if one is available.

I read mostly positive reviews about the Citadines online and decided to book it. The pictures of the rooms show hardwood floors and tiles. The reality is that every room in the hotel has old carpeting in the bedrooms. It smelled like old sneakers when we walked in. I'm sure it was from an attempt to shampoo clean the carpeting, which ended up smelling like a wet dog. What a pity! The sofabed where my kids had to sleep was old and torn apart. It smelled so bad in the room that if I hadn't already paid for it, I would have looked for other accomodations. On the positive side, the location is good, staff friendly, free wifi in the room, parking at an additional charge. Sorry, but the carpeting is a big issue for me and I won't be going back just for that!!
