Hotel Iliade Montmartre

So I reviewed this hotel before checking out two days later and my stay became worse and worse. A group of creepy men checked in and had several rooms on my floor. They came and went at all hours, needing to knock rather than have a key, each time. The room was very cold with no way to turn up the heat. After the third night I had problems sleeping and woke up at 6:00 am. Expecting to join friends who were arriving that morning at a flat we'd rented, I got up to check my messages. Worse yet: Couldn't believe it when I heard a knock at my door at that hour. A woman wrapped in a towel was standing there asking for a 'light' in what I thought was non-smoking hotel. Take your chances but I'd never again.......

Dumpy, sketchy neighborhood and dingy, cold room. Wifi does not work at all as advertised. I travel extensively and this was my 8th time in Paris. Was seeking out Montmartre ambience and this was nothing of the kind. Not at all worth the money. I found Montmartre close enough to the Opera area when I was in Paris this past May to have easily walked to Sacre' Coeur several days. Am so very sorry that I didn't stay in that quaint little hotel once again. Skip this dump.

Wir blieben für 3 Nächte in diesem Hotel. Lage ganz ok, sehr freundliches Personal, unser Zimmer war zur Hauptstrasse hin und deshalb sehr laut, TV funktionierte nicht, Heizung im Bad auch nicht, ziemlich schmutziges und sehr kleines Zimmer, kein Platz im Frühstücksraum, aus meiner Sicht keine 3 Sterne wert, aber vielleicht bin ich verwöhnt vom schweizer Standart?!

This hotel was great for the value. I liked the area because I wanted to be in the Montmarte neighborhood. There were also nice cafes to dine and grocery stores to pick up some fruit to snack on. My only complaint was the day that I left. I had an early flight and decided to take the shuttle service to the airport, which costs 40 euros. However, the shuttle didn't show up and the front desk was kind enough to call another service but they charged me 60 euros!

This hotel is right by the metro so it makes it easy to get around. The area looks a little scary but it's perfectly fine. Staff was friendly. Rooms are small but very nice:-)

Extremely friendly staff. The hotel is located very conveniently near a Metro stop. Really good value for money and good breakfast.

Hotel economico para Paris y con bajo presupuesto. Habitaciones standar. Desayuno incluido mas que aceptable. Poco ruido. Baño pequeño, asi como el ascensor, donde caben dos personas abrazadas. Muy cerca del terminal del metro en la Porte de Clignancourt. Barrio muy sucio y lleno de inmigrantes; intimida a la primera vista, pero nunca nada de que quejarse. Volvería solo por el precio

I stayed for 2 nights in a twin room overlooking the street. Very comfortable room & clean. My only gripe is the shower ie. no curtain or surround provided so have to be careful not to get water everywhere. Really good value for money and easy access to the Metro

Well,I give it 5 stars because,for the price, it was absolutely the best hotel. I stayed there in november of 2009 and I'm thinking of going to paris again at the end of this year and I would'nt think of staying anywhere else. I read review after review before my trip and, I have to say I was a little nervous. Most people wrote that, overall it was good but, the neighborhood was a bit shady. I took a chance and was not disappointed. The staff was friendly and all spoke english well. The neighborhood ofcourse was not the most ritzy but I new that going in. I never, at any point, felt unsafe even at night. I understand I spent very little time at the hotel and that I'm a man and A woman by her self or with other female friends might get a different impression but I realy think it's more a problem of aesthetics than anything else. It's not as pretty as other parts of paris but, if you can afford to stay in the ritzy parts of paris than you're probably not reading this review anyways. Metro is very close by.McDonald's and KFC are down the street if you want something familiar. If you step out of the hotel and go right and walk half of a short block down(not even as long as the length of a footbal field) and then cross the street there is a nice bakery. There is a very nice lady that works there.(don't know if she owns the place). There is a nice little supermarket almost directly across the street. And if you walk down a little farther going left when you step out of the hotel, ther is a flea market that is supposed to be a really good one. We went to it but very, very briefly. All in all, I was very pleased. Me and my wife spent only a small fraction of the time at the hotel but we were both satified and are planning to stay there again. P.s It was always very clean as well. Rooms were small compared to hotals here in the US but had everything you need(I'm 6'2) Never felt cramped.

4号線の始発駅が最寄りで、シテ島やサンジェルマン・デ・プレ、モンパルナスへは乗り換えなしでアクセスできる。 また、スーパーも近く、食費を浮かせたい人にも便利。
