Starhotels Anderson Milan

Wir reisten mit dem Zug an, das Hotel hat die perfekte Lage, 2 min vom Bahnhof entfernt. Mit dem Taxi (Taxistand vor dem Hotel) ist man in 10min beim Dom. Wir erhielten einen super Restauranttip von der Dame am Empfang, mussten somit nicht in ein typisches "Touristenrestaurants" essen gehen. Frühstücksbuffet ist grosszügig im Vergleich zu vielen anderen in Italien. Grosse und saubere Zimmer, das einzige Problem war, dass sich die Klimaanlage nich abstellen liess. Wir würden das Hotel jederzeit wieder buchen.

Very easy walk from the central train station, even with luggage. Nice, modern room. The bar/dining area is dead at night. Breakfast was average. I may not have looked in the right places, but the restaurant choices in walking distance were not great. All-in-all a good choice if you are commuting by train. Good business hotel.

Very good location but very very poor customer service, especially by the receptionist guy called Nico, who forgot to wake me up in the morning and failed to apologise when told him that I've missed a very important meeting, and by the restaurant manager who was extremely unfriendly. Over all an unpleasant stay. Disappointed!!!!

The hotel is located right across from the main train station. The airport buses drop you off on the east side of the station and the hotel is right there which is great. Getting into the subway system, and then in to the heart of town is about a 5-7 min ride + waiting time and walking to the subway which is all underground at the central station. Walking is 30 minutes to Duomo. The rooms are an average size for european standards. Toiletries are nothing special. The hotel bath tub drains were slow. The bathrooms get wet with the half glass door as the shower curtain--although most european countries use this standard. The beds were not comfortable as dents and sagging were present. Our airconditioning wasn't working and they said they would send someone, but never did. Breakfast is mediocre. The orange juice is a drink. The milk tastes like powder milk. Also there are no irons to use. They only have an ironing service available in the mornings. The building also vibrates when the subway passes under the hotel. Oh and the Earthquake in Northern Italy about 10 days prior--the hotel building was shaking at 3-4am. The hotel didn't even send out a flyer to all the rooms saying that the building was safe etc. On a positive note, it rained a lot, and the hotel provided large umbrellas to use. Housekeeping staff was friendly.

Across the road from Milano Centrale Train Station and malpensa airport bus. Trend hotel, large rooms and excellent breakfast, staff fantastic. Our second stay and this time upgraded. Look forward to next visit. Dinner restaurant excellent food and service.

I booked the Starhotel Anderson because of its location near to the Central train station. Even with heavy luggage, it was easy to take the Malpensa Express train from the airport to Milano Centrale, and then walk less than five minutes (across the taxi stand area and one street) to the hotel. It was also much cheaper and faster than dealing with taxi cabs. With the Metro stop at the Central train station, it is also very easy to get to other parts of the city. It is within walking distance (if you don't mind a long walk) to the major sights as well. The rooms are a bit small, but comfortable. If you don't plan on spending much time in the room it shouldn't be an issue. There are two kinds of wireless plans available. I paid extra for the business plan, and this was able to easily handle a video skype call without any delays or issues.

Sadly this was a one-night stay. The check-in was very efficient and we received a free upgrade from a standard double room. The room was well appointed, large and comfortable with a perfect air-conditioned temperature. Breakfast was included and had enough variety for different tastes. The bar/lounge was very comfortable with complimentary accompaniments with drink orders. The hotel was very conveniently located across the road from the shuttle bus to the airport and within easy walking distance to most of the historic sites including the fabulous Duomo, and shopping.

We had been touring around France and Italy for three weeks and Milan was our last stop before returning home via the Malpensa airport. This hotel is located in a great place if you are traveling to Milan by train. Just walk out of the Central station near the cab area, cross the street and a beautiful, cozy, comfortable and well staffed hotel is waiting. When you want to tour Milan you once again cross the street and the Metro is just outside the train station. This hotel also has an excellent restaruant that we really enjoyed. When it's time to go to the airport you can take the Malpensa Express bus or the train. It was all right there.
