City Nites Birmingham - Luxury Serviced Apartments

Stayed here with my family a couple of months ago and, as it can be difficult to find the space we need for the 3 of us without paying a fortune, I was very pleasantly surprised. Plenty of room for my 2 year old to play without getting under our feet and we could put her to bed without plunging the whole room into darkness!!! A definite bonus.The kitchen had everything we needed and, yes, I agree with other reviews that the rooms aren't the most modern, but it was all clean and inoffensive. We didn't experience any noise issues and the staff were great.

Comparing this hotel to others in the area I've stayed at, this one is a very good value. Rooms are big and spacious (much larger than a hotel room in the area) and the kitchen is well equipped with a fridge/freezer and all utensils you'll need. There's a washer for clothing in the kitchen as well which is nice to do laundry but be careful you leave enough time to dry your clothes. On-site parking is very secure in a gated parking garage. For the money this is a very nice place to stay however, there are some issues. The room seemed to have minimal sound proofing from the street noise, at 3am it was possible to hear people outside laughing and talking. This was a second floor room, a third floor room may have helped but considering how clearly I was able to hear the noise I'm not sure how much better it would have been. Lastly, the rooms can use an update to the interiors, much of the paint and walls looked tired and overused, patches on the wall covering holes could clearly be seen in the room I stayed in (all minor issues). Pros: -Very large rooms -Well equipped kitchen -Feels like an apartment -Staff is friendly -Very secure and monitored on site private parking lot -Location is convenient -Heating is very very effective in each room (separate heating for each room) -Very good water pressure in shower Drawbacks: -Room had a distinct curry smell at first before airing it out -Some maintenance needed for rooms / updates -street noise If you want a sleek modern look in your rooms this place isn't for you, but if you want a very good value for your money, fully equipped kitchen + large spacious rooms and secure parking on site, definitely consider this hotel.

Good quality, good space.

I woudn't consider using a hotel ever again in Birmingham. The apartment provided everything and more.
