The George - PH Hotels

Personnel was very kind ann breakfast really skottish but you could also order your own favorite omelet from the kitchen same price. Room was clean and big. Beds were excellent.

Nice stay but menu and service for food could be improved

Litt skuffet med hensyn til frokosten. Varme retter var ofte lunken nesten kald. Ingen frisk brød å se. Nivået passet ikke til hotellet. Godt at det var inklusiv ellers vil vi ha spist et annet sted. Bredbånd var ringe. Ellers var personalet flink og det var veldig sentralt.

Hotellet ligger nära till bussar,shopping,restauranger och caffeér. Hjälpsam och trevlig personal. Väldigt prisvänligt.

Our 3-night stay at The George was excellent. The room was spacious, clean, and well-appointed. The staff was very courteous and helpful. Bonus: The location was perfect -- a short walk to Waverly station where you can catch any form of transport. Note: there is no WiFi and the Business Center is severely lacking. If you can manage around that, you're good-to-go.

sehr zentral gelegen,sehr sauber,Zimmer sehr groß.Nur leider Lärm durch im Hotel stattfindene Familienfeiern etc. Musik dabei lauter als ankommende Flugzeuge.Eigentlich unverständlich sowas.Ansonsten hätte ich beste Bewertung gegeben.Aber wenn Veranstaltungen im Hotel wichtiger sind als die Ruhe der Hotelgäste kann ich eben nur eine durchschnittliche Bewertung abgeben.

Great location, close to the train station as well as all the bars, restaurants and shops. Could not have been better. Only downside was that the coffee provided in the room was Nescafe red cup instant - really?? A hotel such as this needs to think about the little things like that too.

After staying in London for several days we spent two nights at The George Hotel and couldn't believe how nice it was for what we were paying - especially compared to London. The location was perfect for us and the room was huge by European standards. The only cons were the parking situation - but if you don't have a car you have nothing to worry about - and that breakfast was not included.

This was the last few days of our honeymoon & Scotland tour. The hotel was lovely & staff was nice. We were out seeing Edinburgh most of the visit and this was a great location to rest and then hit it again. I would have liked to see free wifi in all the rooms. They do offer 30mins free wifi in the lobby per day, this was nice but seems charging for wifi is behind the times. Hotel has a nice restaurant/bar and there are tons in walking distance for great variety. Edinburgh is wonderful & the people of Scotland are amazing. Enjoy your visit!

first room was small and bed was coverd in hair second room was better but very small window over looking back of hotel as a result room very dark and lights had to be on at all times there was also deliveries at 7am every day which of course woke us both up.you also had to provide a credit card on arrival to be able to use hotel restaurant and room service which is silly (will not except visa card ) tempus bar was stupidly priced overall would not return to this hotel its over priced and not worth the price ;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;
