Hotel Union Square

When first arriving at the hotel to check in at 2 (when we were told we could check in.) they said our room wouldn't be ready until 3. We were told going into our room that it may not be what we had expected and the website for the hotel can be deceiving on what the rooms actually look like. the "executive suite" is 115 sq ft and had NO windows and no closet and basically no where to store clothes. The lady working at the desk was very helpful and considering we stayed for 5 days was able to upgrade us to the Junior suite which was absolutely wonderful room with windows and view. Wine hour was wonderful, and the coffee time in the morning is awesome too! Concierge was little to no help though. Cable car runs right outside the hotel and, an AMAZING location. Would absolutely stay there again, but only in the executive KING or suite!!

This is a great hotel for a quick weekend getaway. My wife and I stayed there two nights and enjoyed the vacation. The room was a little small and dark. It reminded me of the lower level rooms of a crusie ship with no windows. Great location. Close to everything.

Great Location, the Staff were always Happy to serve you and I mean HAPPY smiling all the time, I loved the complementary wine they have before dinning, everything was close to the hotel... Rooms very very clean.. I will definitely stay in that hotel next time I visit San Francisco.

The hotel is in a great location but the rooms are minuscule. There isn't enough room to walk around the bed. The closets was super small and the bathrooms were tiny. if you walked in, you did not have any room to turn.

Hotel was in a very good location for shopping. It was very close to the Westfield Mall, as long as some of other good shops. The cable car is close by too if you wanted to go for a ride. We were in a queen room, which was pretty small. We only stayed one night, so it did the job. The decor seemed pretty up to date, and it even had a ipod stand to listen to music. I liked the hotel until it was time for bed. We were in a room that faced the street, and it was so noisy. I know it's the city so people stay out late, but the sound bouncing off the building was enough to keep me up. There also was no AC, and it didn't get cool enough to really have a good night sleep. I think it would've been worth the extra $ to stay at the Marriot or a larger hotel w/ better amenities.

The hotel is in the middle of union square. Love the easy access to everything.

Staying at the Hotel Union square was a great experience, loved all the modern details in the building, the staff were really great and there to help when needed. The only thing that I did not really enjoy was how loud it was outside all night long, however being in that location made it all worth the overall experience. Yes, I would stay there again, just maybe not along Powell street! Other then that, loved it all! They even have free wine every night between 5-6, can't say many hotels do that!!!
