Fortune House

We stayed at this hotel on two separate Saturday nights a week a part. The first room was very nice but didn't have that warm hotel feeling. The second room wasn't very modern and could have been cleaner. It felt like walking into an apartment. Breakfast was very good. Couldn't beat the price for a brief layover in Miami. Would be ideal for multiple couples or larger families.

The condos are individually owned, so we all had varied experiences in the 8 rooms we reserved. There is a small deli and bar available, but not much else in the way of food anywhere close. The service in the restaurant was very poor. Some of the rooms were not as well maintained as others. When calling the desk for assistance with missing or broken items. we were told that was a maintenance issue and could not be handled within the time period we were there. The manager, [...], when confronted, did say that she would contact the owners of the problem units to let them know about them. It was an OK place if you did not want to eat there, walk to restaurants, or shops. Just basically a place for sleeping. Some rooms were clean and beautifully furnished, but most of the ones we were in, were not. Some also did not have TVs or hairdryers available in the unit.It was very close to the port, so that is why we chose it. It was nice having 2 beds and 2 baths however.

Spacious rooms, helpful staff, great breakfast included. Convenient location for the port for cruises.

I couldn't believe how big the condo was, with beautiful views, for such a small price. The decor was modern with up to date features. Internet access in the business center and an ATM with only a $2 charge. The pool and fitness center were impressive. Our room had two balconies. The only downsides to our experience were no phone books to help with restaurant decisions (we did use internet downstairs), no channel guide, or viewing guide for stations in Miami, and although the restaurant had good food, they had a limited menu, very few selections. Over all would definitely stay here again. Excellent price for a very nice hotel in downtown Miami.

Beautiful hotel, staff bent over backwards to accommodate us. All suites, balconies, very clean and the price was unbelievably cheap for what we got. Only problem was that we were located in Miami's business district and we were there to play tourist. Not much to see there, not many restaurants. Taxi cost us around $60.00 to get to and from South Beach, where we could play tourist.

We needed a place to stay near Brickell just for 1 night. Our only need was a place to sleep as we were not going to be in town long. So chose Fortune House because of price and location. Was nervous from previous reviews. Condo-style had more than enough space for just the 2 of us, we didn't need the kitchen and tv room but it was nice having it. The free breakfast (included in our orbitz rate) was good. Not a luxurious place but it was clean, staff was friendly, location just of Brickell Ave. Would definitely stay again.

I couldn't enjoy the hotel as much as I would like because we had plans outside the hotel. There is a good swiming pool and gym. I didn't use the restaurant. I think it's a really good place for a reasonable price.

Apartments are quite spacious. Good Valet service Cleanliness of the apartments should be improved

We only stayed the one night but were very impressed with the outlay of the suite and the overall cleanliness. We also liked the fact it was not far from the metro. We appreciated the staff allowing us to leave our luggage for most of the day while we went exploring before boarding our cruise ship.

Nice place. Room was more than requested. Staff were very helpful and friendly.
