Surfcomber Hotel, a Kimpton Hotel

The hotel is perfectly situated on Collins Ave on the beach and just a few short blocks to Lincoln Ave and all the shops and restaurants. The hotel staff are all very nice, friendly and helpful!

My girlfriend took me to South Beach for belated 50th birthday trip. I have only one complaint about this hotel, and it's so minor that I almost feel bad about posting it. The bathroom was very small and oddly arranged, so that showering, etc. was somewhat awkward...but otherwise, the staff, the scenery, and the surroundings were top-shelf. I would go back in a heartbeat.

The Surfcomber provides an ideal location with easy access to the beach and all South Beach Fun. The "glam factor" is somewhat lacking, which is perfectly OK. The decor is hip and fun, the staff is friendly and accommodating, the overall feel is easy, welcoming, and comfortable. However, the few nits I have are: An open-shower, with no curtain or door, which means extra care needs to be given when showering not to have water spew all over the place. Also, the rooms are small which is OK, but more drawer space could be provided. Also, the Fitness Center is hardly a "center," but more like a closet-- with only two treadmills, one eliptical, and free weights. I would suggest forfeiting some of the 20 (mostly unused evidently) private poolside cabanas to provide a more suitable Fitness Center.

If your willing to spend money totally worth it. Great restaurant, very close to the beach, and amazing pool parties. Just be ready to pay!

The hotel staff was very friendly and made us feel at home. We love the hotel decor and the location is perfect to explore South Beach. You can pretty much walk everywhere. The daily happy hour by the pool from 5 to 6 pm is fantastic. I would stay here again if I visit Miami in the future.

Tendy rooms in an old hotel, preserves much art deco on the outside, maximum trendiness inside. Resort fee $20 a little high, parking $40 inc tax a bit high, but a great location and experience for enjoying south beach. We will go back.

The service was great. All the staff members were super friendly and helpful. Room was nice. Bathroom was a bit small but fine. Pool area was nice but could use a jacuzzi. Location was amazing. Nice little touches like hosted wine hour and nightly hot chocolate in the lobby make this the hotel to stay at in South Beach.

Just a great place to stay. The most important part of the vacation aside from the transportation is the safety and comfort of the hotel. The Surfcomber offered both safety and comfort. Located on the beach and Collins Ave. All I needed was a clean quiet room. The rooms are clean with comfortable beds. The room was ready upon early morning checkin. If you decided to arrive before noon make sure you check off the early arrival option. This is not a party hotel and we are not comparing this hotel to the FountainBleu or the 'W' Hotel. The hotel seems to be a family oriented hotel. The hotel also has a Decco Bike rental station on the premises. Enjoy your stay!!

the Hotel has wine and hot chocolate hosted every night and different fun games to participate in. The hotel had fun music as well.

I really like this hotel. Location was great, close to all bars and clubs, and others hotels. They have acces to to the beach. Pool was nice and clean. Rooms was not so big, but very comfortable. Service was nice and polite, and helpful. In the end I enjoy my staying in this hotel.
