Orlando Grand Hotel

I can see that the staff at the Orlando Grand try very hard to provide good service and make you stay as pleasant as possible, but overall the hotel is just way too old, outdated and in desperate need of a COMPLETE makeover. The best I can describe the hotel is grimy and well-worn. Although I will say that despite presenting a rather used and abused appearance, my room was clean and there was no evidence of anyone being there before me, which was nice. However, I would not choose to stay at the hotel again. Felt like I stepped back a few decades...and not in a good "retro" sort of way.

The staff was friendly. It looked a lot better on the hotel website. All the door handles going into all of the rooms are rusty. The first room we were put in was a smoking room which I had specified that I wanted a non smoking room, but no biggy. But the door didn't even shut completely. Even after you locked it it looked like it still wasn't closed all of the way. And the top latch wasn't bolted in completely. So we switched rooms. In the next room the surface area was clean for the most part but behind the end table and the bed was absolutely disgusting! Everything was rusty and old. There were these gross brown dots on the back of the entry door and on the front of the bathroom door. It definitely wasn't rust because it was hanging off the bathroom door like food had been splattered on it or something. The rugs are gross. There were stains all over the place. And after I walked on it with my bare feet I could just feel the layer of filth on the bottom of my feet, yuck!! The clock was sitting on the end table but wasn't plugged in because there was no outlet. Same thing with the lamp that was standing next to the bed. So we had to move it across the room where there was an outlet so we could get some more light in there. You're also suppose to have a small deck attached to every room with two chairs and a table. In the second room we had a table but no chairs. We had a first floor view of the parking lot and the deck was disgusting so we weren't going to sit out there anyway but still it's just the point. And the dead bolt on the door going out to the deck was broken off so they had a small lock pin attached so you could keep the door closed. I definitely would NOT stay here again! I know you get what you pay for, but I've paid less and stayed a way better hotel. This hotel desperately needs a good cleaning and renovation and it would be fine.

Hi!! If you are looking for a place in which you 'll stay the necessary amount of time just to sleep your are at the right place. Isnt a 5strs hotel however have everything you need.

Cleaning lady was a sweet heart but she didn't get to the room until 4:30pm most days. The hotel is old and musty. Non smoking room smelled of cigarettes. Things have not been updated in some time. Only one staff member at front desk all week. Hotel is 1/4 mile from a prison and several miles away from a safe decent restaurant. $5 resort fee plus tax per day is an absolute joke!

staff was friendly and outgoing, everything was there that we needed but pool needs more chlorine

The room was very small. We requested a family suite but was put in a room with two queen beds. Since we arrived late at night we didn't fight it. There were never enough towels for four adults in the room. We had to ask daily for more. The restaurant had starnge, limited hours as sis the bar. It closed at midnight. This hotel was easy to find and close to the highway for easy day trips into Orlando or other towns. The staff was polite.

Got 3 rooms for less than 500 for the week for the price it was good

Room was a not very clean. Was supposed to be non smoking it was smoking room. Musty smelling. Parking lot not easily accessible. T.V. not working properly. .

The hotel lobby was nice. The room need to be updated. Rust was on all the light fixtures. Ceiling in the bathroom had water damage that wasn't really fixed properly. The table had stains on it from juice.
