Desert Rose Resort

We like the apartment/studio- feel of the Desert Rose.Have been there every year for last 4 years during our vacation.It is as if you have a vacation place of your own in Vegas. (with Maid service)The kitchen is full size and fully equipped.There are different size units- so ask for what you need.Take the time to explore the Desert Rose online- so you know what to expect visually and pratically.No Casino attached, Rental car is usually the best for this rental.pleanty of parking! a plus) also all the strip resorts have free self park garagesThis is an older established place so it will not have all the modern bling of newer resorts.Ask for the kind of unit you want- quiet or with a little view or ground level- really think about it- It makes a difference in your comfort level.Call them a week before you arrive to let them know.We think its great - but you may have a something different in mind- so be curious and look before you leap! [...].The surrounding grounds and walk to strip in not a well lit strip like walk- If you do hoof it go through Resort next door then over to Tropicanca- there is an esculator- overpass to Strip.We went to see Santana this trip- but also love the Cirque shows and other performers. We love the resturuants- but also like to know we can just eat at the apt. if we choose to.So if you just want a simple place- that you can relax then for a good price this is it.If you are 20 somthing- this place will most likely not be the one for you-MGM is your better bet.I mostly see middle aged to older folks here- so be aware of what entertainment you expect to have for a good trip. Have fun!P.S.- Use a Prepaid Generic Visa with $100.00 for check in- Vegas has been hacked and Credit cards with your name on them are at risk.//

We don't gamble and being one block off the strip it was quiet but still close to everything. Wonderful staff, comfortable and clean accomodations. Breakfast and cocktails too. A great time.

Very pleasant hotel, only 3/4 mins to MGM Grand and the Strip. When on trip, picked up from outside hotel. Very helpful staff and good well equipped apartment. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would recommend to friends.

We were in Vegas for a vacation and were aware that this hotel has a several year history of credit card fraud. Because of that we prepaid for this hotel [...]. The hotel still insisted that I give them a credit card for incidentals and even though I knew of the fraud problem, under protest I gave them a secondary card that I do not usually use. Fortunately my bank caught the fraudulent charges and stopped this card before any damage was done. BEWARE!

Had a fantastic time in Vegas. Loved this hotel, 5 mins from LV strip Nice and quiet but close enough to the strip to enjoy and relax in Vegas

Excellent- we love coming to Desert Rose.

the stay was excellent except for the fact that there was no room cleaning for 2 days and they compensated us with a 40 hoo ters bucks which was of no use to us considering the state of the hoo ters casino.

stayed here in september 2010, no complaints with the hotel only if a little dated, but when i got home i was contacted by my credit card company, over £2000 of withdrawals on my card, the only time i have used my card was in the desert rose resort as a deposit on the room as i had paid for the room before i arrived. i have contacted the hotel by phone and email and no one has been back in contact, be warned do not hand over your credit card, the manamengent have know since june they have had a problem going off other websites.

We enoyed our stay here. The location was excellent, just off the strip. The hotel staff said it would be quite safe to walk at night to the strip but we were told by others that it would be unadvisable after dark. The rooms were very spacious and having the full kitchen was great. The pool was most enjoyable, the breakfasts and late afternoon nibbles and drinks a lovely idea. Laundry service was a plus. Overall a great place to stay.

There were only a couple of things that eould have made our stay even better than it was.....and yhose woulf be having the resort offer an airport shuttle, providing trays to carry breaskfast up to our suite, and lastly offering room service yo guests like every other place here does. Other than that our stay was most amazimg and relaxing especially since it was our honeymoon.
