Riviera Hotel and Casino

Other than being old and tired looking, the hotel met our needs by having a clean room and good beds with great pillows! We were there to sightsee, so we only needed the hotel to sleep in. I am not one to worry about what the hotel looks like, as long as it is clean and safe. I do like a hotel with friendly staff though, who are willing to go the extra mile. Including higher management people. The one we saw when we checked in at midnight on Friday 8/28, looked like he was just trying to look busy so he wouldn't have to help the only other person that was checking people in at that time. Also,no one told us we could try the self check-in kiosks, we had to figure that out for ourselves. Other than that, everyone was pleasant and helpful with directions, etc. We would have enjoyed going for a swim after we returned from our day or evening out, but the pool was always closed. They might consider opening it late for adults only. Thank you!

When i got there it was too early to check in. I do understand that check intime are set time, but they need to remember that people fly over therer and they can not do anything about what time the arrive. there should be something set up for that purpose. other than that the stay was great.

I liked this hotel. If you are just looking for a place to get some sleep that isn't all glitz and glam but is clean than this is a good choice. It is a little far to the end of the strip so be prepared to walk. Also they have expensive late check out so if you have a late flight home don't plan on staying in your room.

The hotel was nice, just a little father then we thought. Would have been nicer to stay closer to the strip. The room was clean and big and the bed was very comfy!

I was a participant in the APA pool tournaments. Having free internet in the hotel room would have been a plus, as it was I had to go across the street to the McDonald's. They had free WIFI...

The room that I stayed in was nice. There were some other rooms that weren't. Seems like everything was outdated and unkept. If you are just looking for something cheap and easy, it is not a bad way to go. However, if you want the full experience, i wouldn't go with this one.

Our first impression of the Riviera was, of course, check in, Unfortunately, that was the worst part of our stay. The clerk was cold, unfriendly, and acted like she could care less about us or our stay. I wish I had gotten her name. For the most part, the hotel was okay. I think the hotel should do more to encourage guests to stay and play in the hotel. They were having a pool tournament, and the hotel was crowded. Even the small events that normally were for guests were only open for the pool tournament guests. The pool was even closed a couple of times just for them. I probably would not go back to the Riviera. I think I would shop around for a more customer friendly hotel.

we arrived the check in was quick and painless. the room was alright. didn't have a coffee machine. breakfast for 2 cost almost 60 dollars. they don't change the linens. the hotel is old the rooms are refurbished. the called to see what time would be best to clean the room and then never cleaned the room or gave us new towels. after the complaint they gave us comps to the worst buffet out there. they have 1 ice cream stand that gives you chocolate and vanilla not sprinkles or asortments of deserts. you can have gross, more gross, and if you are desperate you can eat it. the movies were 15 dollars for something that you could rent for 3. the internet access was 10 a night. the gross buffet was 30 for 2 people. the bar tenders were courteous. the drinks were weak. yeah. wouldn't stay there again.

This is the worst place I have ever been in. We checked in, went up to our room and it was never cleaned from the previous guests. No hot water in the showers, rude people, not a big gaming floor, the worst slot machines I have ever seen, mostly very old ones. Not a wide variety of anything. Bad location, dirty, staff was hard to find on the floor. Nowhere to eat in the casino, everything closed so early. Won't ever go back.

If you can get past the looks of the exterior, it was a great place to stay for the money. My only other complaint was it is sort of difficult to figure out where check in is from the outside and once you do check in, the rooms are scattered all over. The rooms themselves were very nice with flat panel TV's and a fridge which was a nice touch. Room service staff was so friendly and helpful. Front desk staff...no so much.
