This new design with the dark velvet sofa; tailored piping; chrome and leather night stands; and a custom damask carpet brings a fresh; contemporary feel to stylish Park Avenue living. We enjoyed our time at this hotel. Comfortable room and the hotel staff super friendly. The breakfast good though a little on the expensive side for what Europeans are used to paying in the EU.

Although it is a bit pricey for the quality you're getting, you have to realize that you're staying in a great location! Only a few minutes away from Grand Central in Manhattan is money! Stayed here for New Year's. The staff was VERY friendly. Hotel was great!

This Hotel was perfect for us, great coffee/breakfast area which turned into bar/light meals area in the evening.
Internet free anywhere in the Lobby.
The concierge were so informative with any request asked of them, and the location was spot on.
Certainly want to return.

We were compted breakfast in return for a "downgrade" in room that really worked better for us. Staff was very helpful and pleasant. Room was small and basic but beds were comfy and room was very quiet. Location was super convenient. Pricey but that is NYC.

Decor and cleanliness was excellent, and on the whole the staff were pleasant and helpful enough. the room we had was spacious and well-equipped and had a lovely street view and balcony.
What soured it slightly for us was the treatment in the rooftop bar, which closed at 11pm. A little disconcerted to see the bartender serving some other customers after telling us it was closed, and disappointed at the poor grace with which he served us when this was pointed out.
Would definitely use this hotel again, but probably avoid the in-house facilities, Dreams hotel were so much more accommodating.

The location was great!!! However, for two people, the room was very tiny. We didn't have any room to unpack so we lived out of our suitcases for 4 days. Also the view of a brick wall wasn't that great either. I would probably stay there again, just in a bigger room with a better view.

Hotel was fine but building under construction nearby with heavy equipment that I could hear on the 37th floor kept me awake almost all night. They finally stopped working at 7am on Saturday morning. Guests need to be made aware of that before room is assigned.

The Renaissance Hotel staff and crew is first class. The location is excellent, right in the heart of Times Square. The internet isn't free in the rooms, but you can go to the lobby if you need it. Overall, this was a great place to stay and take in NYC.

We saw a couple shows, did some touring, but mostly shopping and just enjoying spending time together. The room was very nice, but had to ask for a refrigerator, a microwave would have been nice with an extra sink either in the bathroom or wet bar. But overall the accomodations were nice. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay again.

My girlfriend and I went to stay at the Michelangelo Hotel for her 30th birthday weekend. We checked in 1 hour early and the rooms weren't ready yet but the staff was generous in holding our luggage for us while we tour the city. We came back tired around midnight to finally see our room. We opened the door and about fell over. They double upgraded us from the Junior Suite to the Grand Suite! How perfect was that because of my girlfriend's birthday!!
The room was GORGEOUS!! Everything was more than what we expected!! The staff was very generous and friendly. It ended up being the PERFECT weekend in New York CIty!!
Thanks again Michelangelo Hotes!! We'll definitely be back!!

A wonderful long weekend stay

We asked the concierge for help finding a good, neighborhood Italian restaurant to visit before our 8 pm Book of Mormon show. He told us he thought that the show was at 7 pm and was right... he saved us from a huge mistake that we might have caught (but who knows if we would have noticed the time on the tickets we bought 6 months earlier!). All of the service people were warm, personable and helpful. We love to visit the Michaelangelo - it is just the right balance and tone for our tastes in Manhattan.

My wife and I made arrangements to stay overnight literally minutes before we drove into the city. We were very happy with the hotel. The staff was wonderful! Friendly and very helpful, from the man who greeted us at our car to the inside staff, they made it so easy for us to relax.
In spite of our late arrival at 4:40 PM, the concierge managed to get us tickets to a Broadway Play as well as seats at a great restaurant both a short walk away.
The room was clean and comfortable, although small, which you can expect in many NYC rooms when you are not paying Top Dollar.

Could not have picked a better hotel, rooms small but we expected this from previous reviews, rooms clean, free wifi , staff brilliant and very helpful, diners attached to hotel also very good, a great location central to most attractions we walked everywhere would recommend this hotel

Great location for Madison Square Garden, Macy's, Empire State Building, Penn Station and the entire subway network.
We've stayed at the New Yorker for about eight consective years, and will probably go back again.
Location is everything!

Good location near Broadway and Times Square without being right in the middle of it all. Helpful and friendly staff. Very clean, modern rooms. Good value for the price. Highly recommend for a reasonably priced mid-town hotel.

Our room had terrific views of Bryant Park. Although the bedroom is not large, it is very efficiently and handsomely furnished. Robes and slippers are provided and the bathroom is chic with both a large shower and tub. The location is perfect right in the heart of the theatre district. The staff was charming and best of all the parking was free over the weekend. We often come into NYC for the weekend and we will definitely go back.

In der ersten von drei Nächten war das Hotel überbucht und wir mussten für eine Nacht in ein anderes Hotel ausweichen. Ansonsten ein gutes Hotel, obwohl das Klo/Badezimmer winzig war.

Had a really good experience staying here. The room was a little small and the bathroom was very small and way too narrow. Other than that the location was excellent, 2 blocks from Times Square and tons of other things, including a few different subway stops. Staff were helpful and friendly. Would definitely stay again if looking for a hotel in midtown.

Hotel was centrally located, room was very clean. The staff was great, 3:00PM check in, but our room was not ready however we were given vochers to have drinks in bar. It was only minutes and the room was ready. I would visit this Hotel again.

We were pleasantly surprised. The hotel was well kept, clean and seemed to have been recently renovated. Our room was a basic queen bed room, there was only room for the bed and an armour. The bathroom was average size. For the two of us, it was just fine, we didn't expect a large room, and we only came back to the room at night to sleep. The room and bathroom were kept very clean and housekeeping was excellent. Location could'nt get any better, take a left out the main lobby and your right in the heart of Times Square. For us, the value of the trip and location was perfect. We would definitly go back to this hotel.
