ONE UN New York Hotel

Hotel staff were friendly, the room was clean, great view of the river but not UN building :-(, consulates close by, great part of town to be, overall experience was great, no complaints

we booked a bedroom with 2beds, we didn't know it was twin beds .. we had to book 1 more bedroom at $219 + taxes ...didn't know it was a room for smokers . the smell was awfull.

Great location and amenities. We stayed in the newer tower that had a fantastic view. Wished that the hotel restaurant served lunch and dinner.

Lobby is wonderful, and the bell hops are too. We tried to extend our trip by one night, and it was all up to us. No one on site was in charge of reservations. We used a house phone to call Canada or somewhere because that is where their reservations are handled. The person on the phone wanted to confirm with someone at the actual hotel, and the man at the desk could not have been RUDER!! He doesn't do reservations, and that was that. A bell hop came over immediately because he was a witness to this totally unacceptable behavior. He told us to come back in the morning when another person would be at the desk. Ridiculous!!!! Frankly though, the morning staff was nicer. We will not be back......had to call roomservice to get a coffee pot, and then we had to call each day to get coffee. Unacceptable!!!!

We purchased a package for two nights along with flight and paid 1200 dollars. Flight was about 600 making the hotel about 600. I would not say this hotel is worth 300 dollars a night. But it was a nice place to stay. It is not far from time square or the grand central station.

The room was not the freshest any more. And it smelled fumy though it was a nonsmoker room. There was no minbar in the room and neither a bar nor a restaurant (except for expensive breakfast) in the hotel. The pool is recommendable. On the other hand the view over Manhattan was great and the location was ideal for sightseeing. Therefore I would recommend it to a friend..

Estoy muy satisfecha con el hotel, su personal sumamente amable, siempre dispuestos a asistir a los visitantes. La vista desde el piso 35 es espectacular. Mi hijo y yo, definitivamente volveriamos a este hotel. La ubicacion nos invita a caminar un poco... lo cual es bueno!

Overall, the hotel stay was nice. We had a fantastic view, but the rooms seemed a little outdated. The bathtub was clogged and the hotel restaurant was only open for breakfast. It was a nice hotel for the amount we paid.

THE PROVIDER MUST BETTER REVIEW THE HOTLES BEFORE ANNOUNCE THEIR RATINGS. THIS HOTEL AT BEST SHOULD BE GIVEN NO MORE THAN 3 STARS. IT IS OLD AND ACCORDING TO THE MANAGER WILL BE REMODELED SOON. THE PICTURES ON THE SITE ARE MISLEADING. THE PHOTOS ARE FROM ANOTHER HOTEL AND NOT FROM THIS ONE. THE CARPET IS SO OLD AND FELTHY ONE DOES NOT WANT TO TAKE THEIR SHOES OFF. THE PAINT IN THE CEILING IS FALLING A PART. THE BED FRAM IS OLD PIECE OF WOOD. THE TOILET IS OLD AND SMALL. BUT THE STAFF IS FRIENDLY AND VERY ACCOMMODATING. THE MANAGER CHANGED OUR ROOM TO A CLEANER MORE SPACIOUS ONE AND OFFERED US A COMPLEMENTARY BREAKFAST.

We would like to thank all staff working at UN hotel, they are so welcoming. The hotel is clean, very nice land scape view. For the tourists, it is just infront of UN Hq building. And you can walk to city center, it is not so far. From airport there is a flat rate: 52 Dolar+ Charges like bridge and tips. (01/01/2013 rates) I highly recommend the hotel...
